Jennifer Grandjean’s Weekend to Cabo Inspired Her and Her Portland Team to Join eXp

Portland, Oregon’s Jennifer Grandjean thought she was just taking a fun weekend trip to Cabo, Mexico, with her close girlfriends in April 2021. Little did she know that it would be a career-altering trip.

“My initial plan was to just have a great time in Mexico with friends and gain some intel on eXp,” said Jennifer. “I ended up becoming fascinated by the model, the people and opportunities to grow. I met and connected with some highly influential people in the real estate world at just that one event.”

Jennifer Grandjean says eXp’s model innately provides her the chance to grow, attain financial freedom and help provide others with incredible value.

During the trip, she whimsically made a deal to join eXp when she dared then-eXp President Dave Conord — in a casual conversation — that she would join if he remembered her name the next day and invited her on stage. He not only brought her up on stage the day after, but even pronounced her French last name correctly.

“He introduced me, called me up on stage and said, “Welcome to eXp!”’ laughed Jennifer. “Two months later I had my entire team transferred to eXp and took them to the Build Conference in Dallas.”

“The structure of it is amazing,” said Jennifer. “The model fosters a community of agents helping agents, regardless of whose downline you’re in. If everyone does well, then everyone’s stock does well. It’s naturally a win-win. The opportunity to have multiple streams of income was very appealing.”

What makes eXp special to you?

“My big ‘why’ is to provide exceptional opportunities for my family, team and clients. I discovered that eXp is not only more fun than any brokerage I’ve ever been a part of, but the model innately provides the chance to grow, attain financial freedom and help provide others incredible value. My eyes have been opened to an end game with real estate and the vehicle that can help me not only accomplish my goals but allows me to think bigger and impact even more people in my life.”

Is there a significant experience you can share since you joined eXp?

“I brought my team to the Build Conference in Dallas in August of 2021. We not only had the best time, but it was amazing to see my team members connect with other eXp agents and experience the amazing opportunities and connections that I first witnessed in Cabo. Tony Robbins gave us all an incredible boost to come home and hit our goals hard. I am confident that they now see the reason I asked them to make the move to eXp and I’m so glad they trusted and followed me.”

What is one thing about eXp that surprised you?

“The biggest thing I’ve noticed so far is the willingness of people at all levels within the organization to help and provide knowledge. I’ve never been a part of a brokerage with so much access to eXp’s leadership and their uninhibited generosity with time and value.”

Have you had any experience or success around eXp’s global revenue share and commercial businesses yet?

“Not yet, but planning on it!”

What kind of collaboration have you experienced at eXp?

“In the short time I’ve been with the company, I’ve seen more networking happen at the two events that I attended than my entire career in real estate. Agents from all over the world come together and generate massive action through collaboration at these events and the impact on agents of all levels is incredible. From small organic gatherings in between conference sessions to organized dinners and meetings, there seems to be constant collaboration within the organization.”

Best tip to share with other agents:

Consistency, consistency, consistency. Do the right things over and over until you succeed. You don’t have to be the best salesperson or most skilled to attain high levels of achievement. Just showing up in the most important daily tasks will set you ahead of most people who don’t make it in this industry.”
