As an expanding platform, we get a lot of questions about the process of joining eXp Realty. Because we understand that the eXp application process isn’t the most straightforward one, we’ve outlined all the steps needed to complete the join.exprealty.com site here so you can get your license transferred and start selling real estate.
How Much Does It Cost to Join eXp Realty?
When you join eXp Realty, you will have to pay the following fees once your active with eXp:
U.S. agent fees (USD):
- $149 start-up fee
- $85/month cloud brokerage fee
U.S. agent transaction fees (USD):
- $25/transaction broker review fee
- $60/transaction risk management fee ($750 annual cap)
Canada agent fees (CDN):
- $199 start-up fee
- $139/month cloud brokerage fee
Canada agent transaction fees (CDN):
- $29/transaction broker review fee
- $17/transaction risk management fee ($200 annual cap)
How Do I Sign Up for eXp Realty?
Becoming an eXp Realty agent is a straightforward process designed to get you up and running quickly. Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Start Your Application
- Visit join.exprealty.com and click “Apply as an Agent”.
- Create your account by entering your name, email, phone number, and country.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email with your login credentials.
- Log in at joinapp.exprealty.com/SSO/ to access your application dashboard.
Sponsor Information
This step is important! To join the Thrive Network and gain access to our resources, be sure to list Mark Venditelli as your sponsor.
If you’d prefer not to, that’s totally fine—just enter any authorized sponsor in that section. If no sponsor is selected, one will be assigned to you automatically.
Step 2: Complete the Onboarding Steps
Your dashboard will guide you through the following sections:
- Personal Information: Provide your address, emergency contact, and other personal details.
- Sponsor Information: Name the eXp agent who introduced you to the company.
- License Information: Enter your real estate license details.
- Experience: Share your real estate background.
- Financial Information: Set up your payment preferences and direct deposit details.
- Documents: Review and electronically sign the Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and other necessary forms.
Step 3: License Verification
An Onboarding Analyst will verify your license status with your state’s real estate commission to ensure eligibility.
Step 4: Broker Approval
Your application will be reviewed by the state broker team for final approval.
Step 5: Finalize Documentation
Ensure all documents, including the ICA and W-9 form, are correctly completed. If any revisions are needed, you’ll be contacted via email.
Step 6: License Transfer
Follow the instructions provided by the state broker team to transfer your license to eXp Realty.
Step 7: Activation
Once all steps are completed and approved, you’ll receive a welcome email confirming your active status with eXp Realty. The $149 start-up fee will be charged within 24-48 hours of activation.
